 Animation Supervisor Sony Pictures Imageworks
Chris Hurtt, an animation supervisor, recently completed work on Sony Pictures Animation's second animated feature, Surf's Up.
While supervising animation on Open Season, he oversaw scenes including the hunter Shaw and McSquizzy, leader of the Furry Tail Clan. Since joining Imageworks in 2001, Hurtt was a lead animator on the Academy Award®-winning Spider-Man® 2 and a senior character animator for Stuart Little 2.
Prior to joining Imageworks, Hurtt was at WildBrain in San Francisco where he worked on the 2001 Annie Award-winning short, Hubert's Brain. Hurtt began his career at Walt Disney Feature Animation in Burbank animating characters for Dinosaur, Hercules and Fantasia 2000.
Originally from Colorado, he studied film production and fine arts at the University of Colorado, Boulder.
