Debbie Denise is the executive vice president of production infrastructure and executive producer at Sony Pictures Imageworks. As the executive in charge of Imageworks’ infrastructure, Denise is responsible for fostering and supervising the implementation of creative, technical and operational innovations for the company.

Denise is currently the visual effects executive producer on BODY OF LIES, VALKYRIE and WATCHMEN. In 2007 Denise served as the visual effects executive producer on BEOWULF and BEOWULF 3D, the latest films to use Imageworks’ proprietary performance capture technology, Imagemotion™.

Since joining Imageworks in 1995, Denise has been the visual effects executive producer on films such as: MONSTER HOUSE, SUPERMAN RETURNS and CLICK, in addition to the 3D stereoscopic versions of MONSTER HOUSE (in Real D) and OPEN SEASON, the first animated feature from Sony Pictures Animation (in IMAX 3D), THE PRIZE WINNER OF DEFIANCE, OHIO, THE POLAR EXPRESS, THE FORGOTTEN, 50 FIRST DATES, CHRISTMAS WITH THE KRANKS, SEABISCUIT, ANGER MANAGEMENT, DARKNESS FALLS, MEN IN BLACK II, HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER’S STONE, AMERICA’S SWEETHEARTS, CAST AWAY, WHAT LIES BENEATH, SNOW FALLING ON CEDARS, the Academy Award® nominated STUART LITTLE, CONTACT, and MICHAEL.

Prior to joining Imageworks, Denise was the interim head of production at ILM and visual effects producer on the 1994 Academy Award winner for Best Visual Effects, FORREST GUMP, as well as the 1992 Academy Award winner for Best Visual Effects, DEATH BECOMES HER. Denise joined ILM in 1991 as digital department coordinator on the feature film, HOOK.

Preceding her work in visual effects, Denise worked as a freelance video producer for interactive computer systems. She also produced audio-visual presentations for the Norwegian and Cunard cruise lines. In addition, Denise worked as an on-air writer and producer for the ABC network in Los Angeles, creating the highly successful on-air promotion for the hit TV series “Dynasty.”

Denise began her entertainment career producing live shows for the Ohio-based theme park Kings Island.

Denise holds a BFA in Broadcasting from the University of Cincinnati.
