 | Visual Effects Producer
Sony Pictures Imageworks
John Clinton joined Sony Pictures Imageworks in 1998 to work on the marketing of the Academy AwardŽ nominated "Stuart Little." After finishing up that project, he moved on to became a visual effects producer on "Hollow Man," also nominated for an OscarŽ, supervising the creation of the invisible man and the elevator sequence.
Mr. Clinton most recently finished producing over 600 visual effects for the highly anticipated live action version of C.S. Lewis' classic book, "The Chronicles of Narnia, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe." Prior to his work on "Narnial," he finished work as the visual effects producer on "The Polar Express: An IMAX 3D Experience."

Also while at Imageworks, Clinton worked with visual effects supervisors Rob Legato and Jim Berney to produce the incredible effects for the international phenomenon "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," which included a CG photo-real Troll, Fluffy the three-headed dog, a Centaur, photorealistic Harry Potter and friends, as well as a fully realized CG Quidditch arena. Clinton has also overseen the production of visual effects on "The Matrix Reloaded," and "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers."
Clinton began his entertainment career as a runner at Boss Film Studios and quickly worked his way up to visual effects coordinator and postproduction producer in their commercial division. Among his credits are such spots as Dodge Neon, Sony PlayStation, Taco Bell's "Alien Visit," Unocal's "GCG," Anheuser Bush's "Bud Bowl VI," Chevrolet's "S10 Trucks," McDonald's "Jurassic Park," Geo Prism's "Cube," Nintendo's "Zelda," Magnavox's "Smart Products," and United Airlines' "Whales."
After leaving Boss Film in 1995, he worked as a freelance producer for Rhythm & Hues Studios. Then he spent a year at 525 Post Production as a producer.
John Clinton holds a BS in Television & Film from San Diego State University.
