Animation Supervisor
Sony Pictures Imageworks
Renato dos Anjos, animation supervisor, recently completed work on Surf's Up for Sony Pictures Animation. dos Anjos supervises a team of animators and oversees several sequences of the film and also helped to establish the style of animation for the film.
Prior to Surf's Up, dos Anjos was an animation supervisor for Open Season, where he oversaw the team of animators who created the kindhearted forest ranger, Beth. In addition, he helped supervise several sequences involving other characters through-out the film.
Since joining Sony Pictures Imageworks in 2002, dos Anjos has worked on several projects including director Robert Zemeckis', The Polar Express, Disney's The Haunted Mansion, and the Oscar®-winning Best Animated Short Film The ChubbChubbs!.
In his 18 years of experience, dos Anjos has worked on more than one hundred television commercials and several animated feature films. In recent years, he worked as a directing animator for the feature film Titan A. E. and as a lead animator on the Academy Award® nominated Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius.
dos Anjos began his career in animation in 1987 at the age of 14.
