Terry Clotiaux
Senior Visual Effects Producer
Sony Pictures Imageworks

Terry Clotiaux joined Sony Pictures Imageworks in 2005 as senior visual effects producer on the highly anticipated “Spider-Man 3.”

Before coming to Imageworks, Clotiaux was visual effects producer on a number of high profile projects including the Oscar®-winning “Independence Day,” “Godzilla,” “Monkeybone,” “The Matrix Reloaded,” “The Matrix Revolutions,” and “Alexander.” Other credits with various participations include “Volcano,” “The Devil’s Advocate,” and “The Nutty Professor II.”

Clotiaux made the move into visual effects at the auspicious moment when production work was going digital and effects were becoming larger parts of feature budgets. He transitioned from Showscan Company, where he worked on a number of short films with directors such as Doug Trumball, to its visual effects entity The Chandler Group, becoming its executive producer. In his six years at Chandler, Clotiaux’s credits include “The Shadow,” Batman Returns,” “Cabin Boy,” “Batman Forever,” “Honey, I Blew Up the Kid,” as well as numerous commercials and trailer projects.

After moving to Los Angeles in 1976, Clotiaux worked the next ten years primarily with Robert Guenette Productions, a TV production company specializing in after school specials, MOW’s, network specials and documentaries that became the early versions of “reality television.” Clotiaux graduated from Trinity University (San Antonio) with a BA in Theater.
