Greg Berridge

Manager of Training, Artist Development and Academic Outreach (iCAD)

Greg Berridge is the Manager of Training, Artist Development, and Academic Outreach (iCAD) at Sony Picture Imageworks overseeing the organization’s ambitious education and training initiatives. 

Prior to assuming the role of manager, Berridge was a senior trainer at Imageworks responsible for the design, development, and delivery of technical training courses. He has served as senior digital trainer on: THE MEG, KINGSMAN: THE GOLDEN CIRCLE, SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING, SUICIDE SQUAD, GHOSTBUSTERS, ALICE THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS, and more.

When not at Imageworks, Berridge can be found at the British Columbia Institute of Technology, one of BC's largest post-secondary institutions, teaching lighting and rendering as well as helping students perfect their portfolio presentations. 

Berridge earned a BFA in photography and drawing from the Alberta College of Art and Design. He is a Certified Autodesk Instructor & Evaluator.

What is your proudest achievement while working at Imageworks? 
The success of the apprentice and intern programs.

What inspired you to become involved in making movies?
I would have to say CONTACT. It was an amazing film that showcased what visual effects should be--invisible and storytelling devices.
