Vice President, Learning & Development
Jim Richards is the Vice President, Learning & Development at Sony Pictures Imageworks, responsible for developing and implementing programs for employees that provide career growth and address operational needs, including: leadership and technical training, internships, apprenticeships, new hire training, and cross departmental training.
Richards most recently served as senior advisor to FIFA, providing strategic operational support to the management team leading the planning and development of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Previously, Richards worked at MPC as the head of studio, managing day-to-day operations and delivery of creative content on multiple projects, including: SKYSCRAPER, AQUAMAN, POKÉMON DETECTIVE PIKACHU, SONIC THE HEDGEHOG, and MALEFICENT: MISTRESS OF EVIL.
Richards has extensive experience leading people to manage complex projects, develop innovative plans, and deliver services. Over the course of his career, he has worked with many world-class organizations such as the International Olympic Committee, The Coca-Cola Company, and Bell Canada.
