Michelle Grady is President of Sony Pictures Imageworks, where she leads the studio’s overall operations, strategy, planning, and production. Headquartered in Vancouver, BC, with additional locations in Montreal, QC, and Los Angeles, CA, Imageworks is an award-winning visual effects and animation studio known for its work on high-profile global releases.

The studio recently completed KPop Demon Hunters, the most-viewed film in Netflix history; In Your Dreams; The Fantastic Four: First Steps, the highest-grossing film in the franchise; and A Minecraft Movie, which set a new record for the biggest worldwide opening for a video-game adaptation. Imageworks’ extensive slate also includes the Academy Award®-nominated Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, The Sea Beast, and Spider-Man: No Way Home, as well as the Academy Award®-winning Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

With over two decades of experience in Vancouver’s visual effects and post-production industry, Michelle has built her career alongside the city’s rapidly expanding film sector. She is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and Visual Effects Society, and she also serves as Chair of the Animation & VFX Alliance of BC and Executive Board Member of Creative BC.
